Changing Your Financial Perspective In Uncertain Times

There is huge value in having a perspective shift, especially in a time of financial unknown, as we're all navigating right now as a collective.

I was just speaking with a client, and her session started with her expressing a lot of fear, sadness, anxiety, and isolation. She's in the Bay Area, which has been under a more restrictive quarantine. She was experiencing a strong sense of isolation while living by herself, and not being able to see her friends and family, or her team.

Together, we started to look at what her beliefs and perspective were telling her. Her inner stories were something like: There's so much unknown. Things are falling apart. There's much to be afraid of.

Together, we slowed down and worked on a simple inquiry:

What else could be true in this moment?

We were able to find a place of openness and acceptance of what is. And we also found that this spaciousness of time could be an invitation to connect with her intuition.

As we began to connect with her intuition, she started to receive insight on what she could focus on in her business that would really make a difference.

Here's what she found she could implement while she has all this extra time:
✔️ connecting with her team every day, virtually
✔️ being able to work on those tasks that had been falling to the bottom of her to-do lists for weeks or months, which could finally be implemented
✔️ assessing her cash flow, which showed her where she needed to conserve some resources, while also revealing she may actually be able to hit her financial goals for the month!

Her entire perspective shifted! She went into a place of magic, possibility, excitement, and joy. By the end of the session, she was in a place of gratitude.

Here is an idea to consider:

Maybe there is a lot of benefit to be harnessed during this time.

There is power in being able to open to another perspective. To have an inner shift and see our finances, our lives, and the opportunities presented to us through a different lens, especially when we navigate a time of unknown.

I want to leave you with a Tibetan prayer that brings me peace, openness, and centering each time I read it:
